About Us
Outside the Box is a specialist SEN support service, founded in 2022 with a focus on helping children and young people who face challenges related to dyslexia, ADHD, autism (ASD), and other specific learning difficulties—including anxiety and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
Originally established to offer full diagnostic assessments for dyslexia, Outside the Box has since grown to provide a broader range of support. Our services now include dyslexia screenings, specialist one-to-one tuition, general SEN guidance, access arrangements, and help with EHCP applications and reviews.
We bring a wealth of experience in education and SEN, working with learners from Reception through to GCSE. Our approach is always individualised, recognising that every child learns differently and deserves support that meets their unique needs.
Our team holds specialist qualifications, including a Level 5 qualification in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties and a Level 7 qualification in Assessing Learners with Dyslexia. This means we are equipped not only to deliver high-quality teaching but also to carry out diagnostic assessments and provide evidence-based strategies that support both academic and emotional wellbeing.
At Outside The Box, we provide a comprehensive range of services designed to support individuals with dyslexia and related learning difficulties.
Our offerings include:
Full Diagnostic Assessment of Dyslexia
Screening Assessments
Specialist Tuition
SEN Support
Meeting Attendance
Access Arrangements
Our commitment at Outside The Box is to empower individuals with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their educational journeys.

In-person appointments are available where travel is feasible, while many of our services—such as screenings, tuition, consultations, and SEN guidance—can also be delivered remotely via secure online platforms. This flexibility allows us to support a broad range of learners and professionals, wherever they are based.
We also work in partnership with schools and local authorities, offering assessment services, advice, and support tailored to meet the needs of individual learners and wider educational settings.
